Huptiazophile

(hoop-tee-AH-zoe-file)
A noun, denoting a person who loves to adapt or adjust their behavior based on the people around them. Derived from the Greek word ′υπτιαζω, meaning “to bend oneself back,” and φιλος meaning “beloved, dear.” Huptiazophiles live to accommodate others, and are uncomfortable stating their own preferences; they may even have difficulty figuring out whether they have any preferences of their own. If you find yourself frequently saying, for instance, “Whatever you want is fine with me,” then you may be huptiazophilic.
